Barry Nelson played 'Jimmy Bond' in some silly yankee adaptation telly crap. Holness played the 'real' James Bond on the radio a couple of years later.
fond memories of getting home from school to watch blockbusters! don't normally care if a celeb dies but this had affected me more than jade goody, diana and MJ put together

After the myth had got around, a question about the song popped up on Blockbusters. After it was answered, Bob grins at the camera and goes "great saxophone solo on that record" (-:

The story clearly appealed to Holness' sense of humour as he has often played along with the myth, and has also at various times jokingly claimed to be the lead guitarist on Derek and the Dominoes' "Layla" and the mysterious individual putting Elvis Presley off his stride on the famous 'laughing' version of "Are You Lonesome Tonight?"

My Dad ended up in a nursing home and inevitably passed away there, so I know pretty much how family and friends must have felt through these past few years. Real shame it had to end this way for Bob . . .
