I think they're fine with the Ikea bread but trying to get them to fit with your regular high street bread is a PITA:

Ikea = wrong.

Two wrongs don't make a right.

They're the only thing that makes an ikea visit bearable...

Meatballs and chips as you get in and then a hot dog on the way out.

My high street bread is Hovis. Not Pita.

They do veggie ones as well. And there's nothing wrong with Ikea.

Actually in theory we went there for dinner tonight, as we bought nothing other than the hot dogs, everyone fed for £3.70 😆

They do veggie ones as well.

Was in there today and it appears the veggie ones are no more. They've been replaced with mozzarella and tomato calzone - which I must admit was not too bad.

10pm Ernie, loads of time!

Why would anyone want to shop at Ikea at 10pm?

It's all about the meatballs and loganberry jam.

I got lost in the Southampton branch, it's like a maze.

Rule 1 of an Ikea visit - the more detached the visit is from 'normal shopping time' - esp. weekends - the smoother your visit will go = rapid, unhindered transit to the tills and on to the hot dog stall on the way out.. 🙂

The coffee and 2 doughnuts for 99p are good too. And the 35p ice-cream! 😛

Apparently it says on the ingredients list

"No animals were harmed in the production of this food item"

Lips, tits and arseholes indeed.... yum!

I got hooked on pølse med lompe while visiting Norway. Hotdog type sausage in a flat potato pancake. Cheap and quick, and very tasty.

i think they are all laid out on the same pattern and there are unsigned shortcuts you can use - certainly the shortcuts exist in the Edinburgh one which means you can find your way around in logical straight line going north south east and west

I got these cute little tealight holders from IKEA a while back. Made from electrical insulation ceramic stuff.

Some of the cheaper furniture is a bit shoddy, but you can get some decent stuff too. Some of their kitchen units are really good, and much better value than other comparable stuff.

Isn't most of it flatpack that you assemble at home, I think I see the problem here.

I hate ikea furniture but the hot dogs rock

I have about 3 items of ikea furniture in this house, the rest is mostly hand carved oak, me and the mrs have just split up and bet your life i end up with the ikea stuff!!!

Tip for those with assembly issues (cough cough, postierich) where you use those wooden dowels, a dab of woodglue will go a long way to keeping your furniture in one piece for a long time. Much more solid and will tend to stay that way!
