Those wonderful Christmas quiz elves at Ifour have made us a quiz for isolation

One of those look at the picture clues and guess the Comedy show

https://quiz.ifour.co.uk/

Try to keep spoilers off here for as long as possible, but I ma looking forward to the cryptic clues that you all normally manage

Hmmm.... am on 31, but think I’m going to quit now
There’s a couple I’m sure I know, but can’t seem to get the answer right
A lot of them the clue doesn’t relate to the title of the show, but to something in an episode once
So if you’ve never watched the show, or don’t remember that 1 joke you won’t get it

Typical single track. 1st post asks for no spoilers. 2nd post follows with an immediate spoiler.

Got to 41, but really struggling now.

37 here but ground to a halt now. Like Wukfit there's a couple that I can't seem to get though I'm sure I'm on the right track.

Up to 34 now...

Things I don't get, but which are obviously clues:
Gun / broom
the backpack with the face
my little pony & a mini
pink bunny ears
the teddy (& sweater) on the sofa
the pope in the window
the rug
the mug with Martin written on it...

I don’t think the mini and the pony go together (i have an answer for the pony but not the mini)
The gun/broom is a stupid clue, but I have the answer
Don’t have answers to the others you mention
EDIT: I do have the teddy actually, but it’s one of those that has nothing to do with the title of the show

dog is a well known American sitcom

I'm at 43.

Missing :

Rug
pope in window
beware of the...
newspaper rack in corner
cat with bread either side (unless it is linked to the shadows behind)
pink bunny ears
martin's mug
purple backpack

(one of those isn't a clue)

shadows are a different clue, look closely at the figures, who do they remind you of? (nothing to do with being shadows)

doing quite well for me on these things at 40 but hit a wall. Not sure if I can identify all of the remaining clues
Rolled Rug
cushion
dog
Pizza box with surround soundy sticker (got the 3 surrounding answers)
purple rucksack with face
and a quite well hidden one which I wont mention just in case people havn't spotted it
shadow's in the kitchen
and also struggling with the parrot

Not sure if the washing up in the kitchen is a clue or the tin or container on the counter in the kitchen.

close to giving up but still plugging away.

Got a few other similar things through work too.

I was convinced the trap door was "the trap door" cartoon for ages.. instead 4 different clues!

look at the parrots ****, what is it?

The dogs is a (proper dog) character from an american sitcom, (thanks Wardee, I recognised him with your prompt)

the teddy (& it's not a sweater) on the sofa.. you more often see the character portrayed in cartoon version of the show with the bear, than the original live action.

Can't get these ones. At 36 so not too bad.

Cracked egg
Mug with Martin
Sword and single snake
Parrot
Cushion
Rug
Pony
Mini
Face in curtain (not the window)
Purple monster
Pizza box
Thread
Fire extinguisher (related to sign above?)
Washing up

I'm about halfway through which isn't bad on a small phone. However, quite a few I've got but not from the clues I thought they were.

cheers jimdubleyou. - had tried that but my spelling must have been off.

z1ppy - I have the shadows just wasn't sure If the cat was related. I don't have the mug or cat.

wobbliscott I think you may be short of more answers in the area of the pizza box. Should be 2 on the box itself. + 1 on the adjacent beverage + 2 on the pile of carbohydrate squares in front.

Look at the features of the parrot.

Punctuation is also important.

The purple monster/backpack is a netflix show. I used up my clue for the day on that one...

47...

Missing (I think):
Teddy (thanks for the clue, I sort of remember what you're talking about but still not getting it)
Cushion / pink ears
Rug

Broom/gun doesn't need the whole of the gun, just a part.

Similar with the parrot

Assuming you've got the answer right it works both with and without the apostrophe

I'm on 42 but more like 32 as I've guessed some names or had to Google the character for the show name as it was so long ago...
Pillow, parrot, pink ears, rear end and egg are bugging me as they all look familiar but just can't place them.

Martin’s mug - Teeeeaaaaaa Martin!

Cotton reel - emergency service

Tidy cushion - Or Bang Tidy, as Nessa might say

Rolled run - if that should say rug, it isn't a clue

Trap door - Thing is, its quite a Handy clue

Whilst this is kind of fun, I got to about 25 with no bother, then a couple more where they were on the tip of my tongue and I had to do some research.

The rest I wouldn't have had a clue. Even when I know the answer from this thread I don't 'get' the reference! Some of these programs I've never heard of.

On 42 now with some help and inspiration from this thread. Not sure I can spot most of the remaining 8.

I've got the face looking in from the window to be sure...but is the bishop like doll on the window sill a separate clue or the same as the face?

Also around the pizza box got 3 of the clues...the pile of square carbs, the bottle of beer and potato based snack and the picture with the bird on the pizza lid...but assume there is a clue linked to the 'surroundy soundy' sticker and a clue linked to the actual pizza slice?

still struggling with the dog, shadowy figures and the parrot despite apparently obvious help on this thread...maybe I'm just not getting them as i'm not familiar with the shows themselves.

Still working on the curtain face one but think I've still yet to identify 2 or 3 clues.

I'm not even sure where my last two clues are.

Is 'Surroundy Soundy TV' sticker one of them, and is the stuff on the kitchen worktop a clue?

but is the bishop like doll on the window sill a separate clue or the same as the face?

Yes, separate. Recent sitcom.

still struggling with the dog, shadowy figures and the parrot despite apparently obvious help on this thread

Look at the parrot and describe its features to yourself. What's unusual about it?

Shadowy figures, well the one of the left has a distinctive profile. He's already appeared in one of the series whose clues you've got.

Dog - it's a toughy if you don't know the series. But you've already got the earlier US series which involved the same character.

Is ‘Surroundy Soundy TV’ sticker one of them - YES. Answer is a play on an Orson Welles film title

and is the stuff on the kitchen worktop a clue? - NO

How did I miss the cotton reel? "Your cock-up; my arse" is 9ne of my favourite lines from a comedy.

The mug, I heard "hello Martin" 8n my head. I must be spelling it poorly.

Nope, entirely different Martin. The one I was thinking if was much funnier

Googled the pink ears and martin

Got a couple just by assuming they would be there somewhere, like the one above No No No because I never noticed the clue

Need: Surroundy soundy

But not sure where to look for the last 2. Are these clues: The cushion on the sofa? the clothes on the sofa?

Surroundy sound - I gave a clue up there ^^^^^. Its set in Birmingham

Cushion - not a clue

Clothes - the clue is the teddy

THANK YOU AGAIN!!! didn't know the series that well though aware of it but the link to the earlier show was enough to connect the dots.

I'm missing the clues...however also entirely possible I didn't regularly watch whatever it is.

I start by liking these things then hate them as I can't complete them...starting to like it again even though I'm not going to complete it - the shows I have found are reminding me of some great shows from earlier times.

Nope, and the fact that their shadows has nothing to do with their show either, looks at the figures and try and recognise the famous comedians (double act in this case, from an earlier show already in the quiz)

Still can’t get the trap door
The holes not a clue, just the lid with a 'handy' phrase (the first mans family?)

Pink ears
Obvious if you've seen the cartoon, other wise as above it a product of adult swim and had a cross over episode with archer (as the same voice actor is used in both - trivia, rather than a clue)

Purple monster face thing.
A netflicks series, I'd never heard of before, so can't give you a better clue
