What’s my budget?
There’s lots of things I fancy but little I can afford.

A FS Ebike, a decent camera with a BIG fat lens maybe.
Can’t think of much else really.

Some one has damaged a couple of the leather seats, with zips on the back of bike shorts, in the camper. They are beyond a decent repair, so rather than mess about I'd have them recovered.

World supply of Lindor

**** me. So you're the person that eats the bloody things.🤮

I swear that there's about a dozen boxes of Lindor that get constantly passed round from birthday to Christmas to dinner party around South Manchester They're about 20 years out of date but it doesn't matter as nobody would dream of opening the ****in things. They just repack then and send them onto the next poor sucker.

Tell the truth, genuinely, do you actually like them?

If you were buying a gift for yourself at Xmas…..

I bought myself a pair of Loake McCauley Brown Oiled Nubuck Chelsea Boots (£145 on sale), the most expensive shoes I paid for in my life and a Chinese iron ladle (£5.50 from Chinese supermarket) like this .

What I really want is a house ...

Yes, I like Lindor. They are nicer in the fridge, but I'll take any I can get.

If I'm buying it myself probably an AXS upgrade kit

I’d buy myself the cure for Covid…
…then I could share it with the world.

Failing that I’d take a man garage with a pillar car ramp and that Porsche in the picture above.

They are so delicious, I could hoover down a box or two of them on my own no problem if it wasn't for my incredible self control. Off downstairs now to grab a few. All versions are so yum but the salted caramel ones are outstanding.

Hmm, some of my top of the list items here already,  new knees and solitude would have to be seriously considered.

Probably new knees as that would facilitate the solitude.

The other options are talent (any at all would do), a new lower back maybe. If were going materialistic,  and Transition Spur would be nice.

A house in the Pyrenees. Superb road riding, enough mtb to keep anyone happy. Hot in the summer, cold in the winter with enough skiing for me.
Dowside would be 2hr drive to windsurfing beaches
But yeah, happy with the things i own already so a new location and a nice french lady would be great
Just need to find £200k down the back of the sofa

A few years ago I asked my kids to get me a Wenger Ueli Steck swiss army knife as there was one for stock in Europe, and gave them the link to it...

Well they didn't get it so when one appeared for sale two years later it was my present to myself.

A freind (honestly not me) just came into £750k ish, he bought himself an RS4, he thought he wanted a Porsche too, but loved the RS.

I'd quite like a Weber Summit Charcoal, or an OLED Panasonic, but I don't NEED either.

I have just bought a Flair Pro2 to replace my Classic.

Given the state of things at the start of '21 I arranged £20 a week to go into a savings account to buy myself something in Jan '22, at the moment helping a charity to get some rescue dogs out of Romania is the front runner!

As it so happens one is currently with a courier and winging its way across the country to be delivered this weekend. Marvellous!

Depends on the budget

up to £50 - some new recovery socks, my Achilles is killing me at the moment
up to £150 - new pair of On Cloud Flyer trainers as the old ones are getting very tired and might be part of the issue above.
up to £1000 - new iPad, current 5 year old one is struggling to hold a charge

After this its difficult, have a nice house and a car and a few bikes so unless it was big, big money we are very happy and lucky with all we have.

A cure for Covid & cancer, end of hunger, world peace etc etc if its pure fantasy.

Enthusiasm for riding again and not just thinking about it

That's my impossible mental battle at the minute. Well, actually the last 18 months or so but I'm not counting.

Failing that, probably a Fender Jazz Bass.

Get one. I love mine. Even better if you know someone who gets student discount and can save 20% on a reasonably priced Mexican model.

Right now I’d go for a week somewhere warm and sunny with some good riding.

Absolutely this 100%. Sunshine, mountains and a chairlift. I would literally kill for it.

Not the original bike stevie ,they were plug ugly(even by 80s standards)😉🙃🤣,but the engine was a bullet proof wee thing and they lend themselves to a few decent builds.

A Dukla Prague away kit

👏🏻

I’ve got some Joy Division oven gloves…

I must admit, a big new shed would be a wonderful thing, but just not affordable at the moment.

One thing I’ve fancied getting for quite some time is a Yamaha 6-string ukulele, or guitarelele, and I’ve just found out that if I get one, work will pay for it! There’s a Wellbeing fund available and we all have access to £100/year to spend on something that will increase our overall wellbeing in the long term. Things like gym membership, an online course, workout equipment or trainers, a musical instrument…

So I can get a present for myself and it won’t cost me anything!

After the shitty year I’ve had, it’s small things like this that’ll help get me through Christmas. 😎

Merry Xmas Ton

This Christmas it could well be an Exposure front light.
