The trails are terrible at the moment, not dusty, not fast and not perfect to run on either.
Stay inside, it’s much safer there.

Trails round here need occasional rain more than my garden. They get loose and blown out without a water every now and then.
Not just the trails though, even sitting in the garden or in the woods on foot. Love it 🙂

It's true though....! I watered my lawn yesterday.
Awful wet winter delayed the farmers planting the crops, now they need water to put some growth on and there’s none, this years harvest is going to be poor and will have knock on with the food prices
It was really lovely yesterday - decided to take a last minute day off work (although much of it was spent inside assembling a bed for one of my daughters). Had a BBQ later on and sat outside eating chocolate-dipped strawberries with the kids until well past 9pm in nothing more than shorts and a teeshirt. Lovely.
And the sun is just poking through the morning cloud right now...

Might have something to do with it. The weather's been dry because of a stuck high pressure area leading to easterly flow - wind's been in the east for ages and ages. This the same pattern we had in 2018. The reason for this in turn could be a less strong flow from the South West, which could be due to changes in the North Atlantic Thermohaline circulation, which is in turn affected by decreasing salinity caused by mel****er runoff from the Greenland ice sheet.

It IS glorious - set up the laptop in the garden today, so watching trees wave, bees buzz and listening to birdsong (and, to a less-enjoyable extent, distant traffic on the M5), and it is lovely.
Doesn't feel normal, though - surely it isn't usually this consistently lovely in spring?
It is glorious out there at the moment, my only minor complaint is the bastard stinging nettles are now at bar height and very stingy.

Linnet Clough descent is still a bit wet (Marple - Peaks) - never dries up. Good fun at the minute, but not quite the mud fest it was in January - now that was fun, couldn't see a thing, with flick up from my tyres and mates tyres.
The dust is crazy though, bike caked in it. Don't forget a bit more maintenance on the drive chain. I did 2 rides of 90 minutes, and by the third ride the chain was dried up and creaking.

Very much this. No real rain here near Derby for two months, I'm having to water the lawn so the guinea pig has something to eat and run around on
Aye Linnets Clough is not quite at 2018 levels of hooning down dryness yet. I also need to get there earlier or later in the day than my last ride so it's a bit quieter. Did notice that Zag was dry for the first time since 2018, but my legs had gone pop from riding from home by that stage of the ride 🙂
Garden is knackered though, probably not helped by building a gap jump for my son however...

Likewise, its been used as a football pitch during lockdown, just a dust filled goal area exists now...
If you can de-clutter your garage in a single day it didn’t need doing, just go for a ride.
The winter's rain coming out of the chalk is still flooding the road by the millpond in Chesham - very refreshing!
