A while ago I put a thread on here called 'what's my son worth' (or something similar)
This morning he sent me a text saying 'they've just given me a 15% pay rise!' I asked if it was everyone or just him & he said that everyone else had got a .25p an hour rise but he'd got £1.28, taking him to the dizzy heights of about 15K a year!
He's worked his nuts off setting a new picking system up for a warehouse, even teaching managers how to use it but up till today was told there was no money for pay rises. He also this week applied for a job as a trainee bike mechanic! (his gaffer must've heard about it) 🙂

Anyway, I'm over the moon for him, especially as he owes me £200 that I lent him for a new frame.

It didn't work for me last week... 😕

Anyway, good on your son and make sure he pays the frame off before celebrating the rise...

Good on him. I got sick after 7years of 1.5% pay rises so I left went somewhere else and got an extra £2k and a more relaxed job.

Good on him! Sounds like he has the nous and gumption to go places and do well.
