... description of the video. It has been bugging me all week.
Roughly mid noughties but i could be off on the date. Not quite a one tune wonder but close.
Repeat player on MTV2. They were one of those melodic bit then shouty bands (System of a Down like but more melodic).
The video was basically just the band in a small room with a bunch of their mates going mental during them playing their tune "live". The band themselves looked like they were starring in Skins.
I seem to remember the big personalities in the band were the singer and the drummer (pretty sure there was a scene where the drummer stands up and does the classic pointing the drumsticks at the crowd).
Please help me with my early onset dementia.
Not sure but it could be fun finding out...
Papa Roach - Last Resort?
Not Deftones or Papa Roach. Think younger and more Skins cast.
Nationality? UK or USA? No idea what a skins is.
See if anything on here jogs a memory...

Fall Out Boy?
There were a lot of punk/rock/metal bands around at that time.
A lyric or two might help…
Sum 41? Although no idea which song
Sum 41?
Bring me the horizon?
I didn’t watch skins.
Feeder?
Although not strictly nu-metal…
Powerman 5000 - when worlds collide ?!?
What mc86 said.
Seems to fit the bill 👍
I dont think enter shakari are old enough tbh
Dunno, they were doing the rounds in the mid noughties, mate of mine got us tickets to see them at the Astoria and I’m pretty sure that was ‘06/‘07. Zane Lowe used to rave about them a lot around a similar time.
Love how awkward and introverted the crowd are inbetween the mosh'es 🤣
Not Nu-Metal, but fits the video trope
Enter Shikari!!!!!!! Thank you so much.
someone like evanescence? POD?
edit: darn too slow
Night Vision was a banger
Enter Shikari!!!!!!! Thank you so much.
They're local heros round here, to the point that they sponsor the local football team.
They're also trying to raise monery for rebuilding the local, live music venue so if you're feeling charitable, grab a tee.

Damn it, too slow! I'm not really a fan but Enter Shikari fans are the best fans in the world. I saw them at the Barras once mostly because Hundred Reasons were supporting and it was just ridiculous... Nonstop dancing and mass singalongs and moshpits and human triangles to the in-between-set music, I don't think anyone had heard of Hundred Reasons except me but the crowd reaction was awesome, everyone just so up for it and open to new stuff and so welcoming and respectful, and then absolute madness for the headliners. I mean, I'm pretty good at this stuff but I do not have the cardio to be an Enter Shikari fan.
(@Fatboyfat, you know HIFH are touring again next year? I kinda dreaded it when they reformed in case it sucked, but I've seen them a few times since and it's like they never stopped, even the new stuff fits in the set perfectly. Still as good as it gets imo even if they didn't play Disconnector, the best song in the world. Randomly I saw them later the same night as that Enter Shikari show, at king tuts- they were the best of the 3 bands but there were no human triangles at all so point to Shikari )
This thread has reminded me how much I hated the whole nu-metal, screamy-emo period of music and my YouTube feed is going to be contaminated for weeks.
Pretty sure Shikari, HIFH etc largely came under the 'Emo/Post-hardcore' thing that followed Nu metal, by the time they emerged in 2003/4 Nu Metal was pretty much on the way out.

Haha get ready, Gen-Z has discovered Nu metal in a big way, it's all coming back over the next few years, mark my words.
Gen-Z has discovered Nu metal in a big way
true. Saw a kid in a deftones t-shirt at the weekend, kinda wanted to give him a high five but knew he’d just leave me hanging…
Deftones released their first album 28 years ago. That's like me wearing Hendrix and Led Zep tee's in the 90's because I was into 'classic rock'.

If it leads to more bands like Bob Vylan I'm up for it. It was mainly the macho, redneck, crotch grabbing, idiocy of it all that was the main turn off.

God no! It's more like you wearing a Showaddywaddy t-shirt cos you were into novelty rock.

Could have written he same thing! Went with a mate to see HIFH and had the same experience, both great bands live.
