Got past by a huuuge convoy with more flashing lights than my christmas tree when the kids decorated it. Consisted of something like:

2 marked cars with lights flashing.
2 unmarked cars with lights flashing.
10 (yes ten, I counted carefully) unmarked white transit vans with lights flashing in teh grilles. One of them had windows in the back panels, all others solid.
another couple of unmarked cars and a couple more marked cars for good measure, all lights going.

They made quite an impressive and very pretty snake along the M27 and then headed into Southampton.

WTF was that all about?

Kinda OT but one 5pm mid-week last week a Prison van and ALOT of Police cars drove wildly and far too quickly down Deansgate in central Manchester- one end to the other. The speed surprised me. Even if it was a prisoner with a high risk of being sprung on his way to Strangeways. Any ideas who?

That'd probably coincide with the appeals by Dale Winton's (Cregan) accomplices against their entirely justified sentences for aiding and abetting a one-eyed, grenade chucking, loon. Loads of cops outside the courts as well..

As an aside, saw the motorcade on the M61 that was used to bring him from Preston to Manchester everyday during his trial. Not quite as big as the OPs (though it isn't the size of your motorcade that counts...) but incredible for one man. Included a helicopter above as well as I recall, which may well be enough to trump the OP 😉

We saw something similar in an Edinburgh suburb two weeks ago. Lots of police cars followed by several black landrovers and about five big lorries the same colour, then more landrovers..

We were near Rosewell and we did wonder if the Aliens had come back to the wrong place... 😆

I also saw that and I also seem to remeber a bellypopper.
