We had an extension which meant our old 3m x 3m (ish) bathroom is now just a place for me to chuck all the DIY crap I'm using about the house. It's just redundant space containing a bath and a sink.

Any ideas what to do with it?

As it has water supply and waste how about keeping sink and making it a drying room with tiled floor and floor drain, hanging rail / dehumidifier ? Always wet kit with bikes. Or just remove bath and sink and put racking in for storage ?

His and her's bathrooms.
You'll never have to pick another towel off the floor again.
Or put the seat down.

Downstairs or upstairs?

If it's downstairs do what jambalaya said.

Sort of. External door, tiles, shower, drying rack, washing machine (?) and so on. Saves traipsing shit all through the house. Very common over here.

If it's upstairs, sauna.

Or sex dungeon WITH built in hydroponic cannabis farm

Turn it into a proper kit room with a drying rack, fan heater and good ventilation, a big stainless steel sink and since you've got the plumbing, a home urinal with aiming fly for chaps. Made by Laufen.

The boring answer is a PC room, a nice solid desk with dual screens and racking shelves up to the celing for all your old books and files and stuff. A decent set of speakers on the wall for your tunes and you have yourself a gaming suite.

A brewing room, it's ideal with the water supply already in there.

In the old days I'd have suggested blackout blinds and a darkroom for photo developing but nobody does that nowadays.

Maybe a personal kitchen since it already has a sink?

Turn it into a piece of installation art gallery

Clear it out, paint it white, put some moody lighting in there, then simply place a random object on a plinth in the centre of the room - maybe an old sink, or a pile of garden canes randomly propped up against each other. Then when you have guests, stand at the door staring intently at the random objects, while furrowing your brow and looking really thoughtful. If anyone asks, just think of a random surname and say authoritatively 'yes, its and early Hamilton' or 'its one of Macmillans abstract pieces, before he took a detour into cubism"

This is now the basis for the entire British art market. You could make a killing.

In fact, you can't have that idea. I'm off to do it myself

Sorry but that room screams of a log storage area for your logburner.....you do realise this is STW.

If you hadnt realised then i suggest a panic room for use during the brexit.

In the old days I'd have suggested blackout blinds and a darkroom for photo developing but nobody does that nowadays.

If I actually still had a darkroom I might start taking photos again. I loved my darkroom shed even if it was an oven in the summer and a fridge in winter.

Nuke it from orbit , it's the only way to be sure.

Or hoof it in the slats.
