I have the week off work from 22nd to 27th Feb and was planing to spend as much time as possible training&/riding at home in Denmark but the weather is awful. It is about -5C at the moment and there is a lot of snow everywhere so I have been considering heading south for a few days with my bike. The other half is OK with the idea, but given the notice, I will be on my own.
So does anyone have any suggestions?
I can't find any organised winter training camps to join and I can't really be arsed to spend days on my own in a cheap hotel.
Perhaps I could/should spend the days in the UK staying with the family...
Tenerife, There's a big hill thing in the middle it's cheap and quite warm .
Perhaps a tour of exmoor/dartmoor area, then head back early to the Mrs to surprise her and earn brownie points (or find her in bed with the milkman)
Any of the Spanish bike holiday companies.

Alan, do you get a lot billy-no-mates? I was considering something similar to the OP, but was a bit reticent about potentially spending a week with a load of people who all knew each other and thrashed me up all the hills.

We get a lot of singles. A ride or 2 and the group has bonded, job done.
Plenty of good bars and restaurants at night also.
