I'd like to make a unit that can serve as both a table for a BBQ and Ooni Pizza oven and store them year round.

Essentially I think this would take the form of a small half-height shed with some sort of table on top. I don't think the roof of the shed can be the table though, because the shed roof will have to slope and also deal with the heat from BBQ/Pizza Oven. My initial thoughts are some sort of slatted table above the roof that water can drain through and this would keep the heat from the roof.

Anyone got any better ideas?

What bbq and what ooni

because my weber Q2200 and ooni koda do not emit a notable heat below and have worked fine on the wooden patio table.

May make your consideration easier

Another idea is a cast concrete top or paving slabs on the shed

@trailrat

Almost the same as you. I have an Ooni/Uuni 2 and was looking at the Weber Q series!

Roofing felt doesn't make a nice table though....

I bought a second hand stainless steel/aluminium catering table for £10 from Ebay. Bottom shelf to store Ooni, small bbq, charcoal & stuff. This sort of thing.

I was worried it might look a bit shit, but actually its worked really well. Partly because it slots into a gap in the wall/hedge. Top stays clean and rust free and I roll pizzas out on it quite happily.

@sadexpunk

Pretty much like that but with the base storage area properly weather tight to survive the Scottish winter (and summer)
