😀

So... should I have Adebayor or Van Persie as my fantasy team captain this weekend?

Hmmm. I am more confident of an Arsenal win, with more goals, than a Spurs one. Swansea are a cracking team and will make it very hard for you.*

So I would say RVP.

*Even though Lawro has you winning 2-0.

Ooooff.

I've still been eating fruit this week. I'm experimenting with works best for me.

I am being 100% compliant this week. Have run into a few energy problems, which was probably my fault for doing to much while my body shifts from using carbs to fats as fuel. Next week I might try the odd bit of fruit after exercise. This week I timed it so meals fell roughly after.

IME this is the key. Plus exercising first thing without eating.

At the moment this is impossible for me. I am waking up with just enough energy to make my eggs. Work in progress.

Jamie, i notice you've stopped tracking your stuff on Fitocracy. I've almost got double your points now!

As usual, I get bored with it after a while.

🙁 we should start a STW group - hype up the competition between Mol and DGOAB

It's all about just getting out and doing it... telling your stomach to STFU!
It's amazing how quickly the gnawing hunger goes away once you actually start moving. 20miles in under an hour on the bike yesterday morning... probably wouldn't fancu speed intervals though.

What is fitocracy?

I used to do fasted cardio all the time, but switching the body from carb powah to fat powah needs a bit of adjusting before I start throwing that at it.

*actually leaves this time*

It won't load at the moment apart for it's address thingy which says "get addiccted..."

Wouldn't it be like an AA meeting in a pub?

Not eating pre morning session. You gave me a look and said "what's wrong with feeling hungry?"

I ditched the morning banana this week and within 5-10 mins of exercising I stop feeling hungry anyway.

I really like it. You get points for the exercises you do, and it's a great way to track progress. Follow this invite to sign up: http://ftcy.co/oQ18Wj

dunno - you can sync with run keeper if you use that. Ask in the forum (warning the search function doesn't work!). There are advanced options for logging stuff like terrain and HR - very useful and usually get you extra points.

don't forget to follow Jamie (aka Jaaaaaaaamie)

This reckons you can import GC data into runkeeper, you can then add that to Fitocracy.

Likewise, and to my detriment sometimes.

For example, earlier I was just going for a easy slow paced run, but was following a course on my 310XT and ended up racing my previous time 😀

Mol, Cardiff is too far away. Hows about near idave or TSY instead?

I'm in full compression gear after riding with the fast boyz; 36kph uphill! 😡

Just thought I'd mention that I've given up fruit, used to eat loads of it particularly berries.

Blood sugar levels are hugely different - no longer get that 'if I don't eat I'll pass out' feeling. In fact I can even go without lunch on a ride. 🙂

Not on the iDave eating plan as such, just incorporating parts of it.

... as you were. 🙂

Oh and my god news is nowt to do with being preggers (that would be worst news of my life). I got a good enough score on the ramp rest to get 1-2-1 coaching. So Molly's arse is going to be well and truely kicked! 8)

I thought it would be even funnier if dgoab beat molgrips when prégnant. Mrs mugsy dropped one of my Sheffrec club mates when 6 months gone and her on an old mtb and him on his roadbike....

My 6th day of being idave compliant today...just to jeep it slightly on topic.

Mugsys mate, 24 mins fleas for my ten miles, not five, don't be silly. I will look at fitocracy an d also consider the stw competitive thing. And DG will not beat me, neither will yeti.

Also, the reason I don't exercise first thing is not hunger, it's my brain still being asleep. It's too unpleasant and causes way too much stress for the whole day.

Soaking in a hot bath has the opposite effect of compression clothing as I understand it. A hot bath causes vasodilation.

Yes, I know 🙂 My super fast mate did the bike leg in just over 30m so I'm aiming to beat that.

Haven't yet entered the Ben, should do. It'll probably fill up before I get around to it knowing my organisational skills...

You should all be aware by the way that I don't really think I am better than you all - I don't really know - I just find it amusing to trash talk on STW 🙂

LOL - Is that the Cardiff defence?

How about you help iDave and me crack a good time at Motion in Mercia by doing your share of 90 miles at the front?

It'll probably fill up before I get around to it knowing my organisational skills...

It's £95 there are still spaces. 14th September.

Solo, I'm intrigued just what the body-mass index is of the guy who's called me a "**" and "****" for suggesting that following iDave's banned carbs (grains, bread, pasta, rice) is counter-productive if you want to maintain a stable, healthy weight over many years and perform at a high level in endurance sports. And that iDave's fatty pre-sportive breakfast gave him little chance of performing well; he'd have gone beter on oats/müesli/toasties 3-4 hours before the start after a meal of pasta and fish the night before.

My own body-mass index after half a century of food iDave discourages:
[img] [/img]

Perhaps iDave could post a photo so we can see what his diet has done for him. You are what you eat.
