I'm 95% sure I know what it is - and it's quite exciting.

+1 for mink
Or it's the fur collar from my Grans old overcoat.

Will it fit in a pie dish?

It's not clear in the photo, but its too big and not dark enough for a mink.

Aw, you bugger, that's my mate Barry... sure, he could be a bit reckless at times, but there was no need to off him, then further his indignity on a public forum, especially on the sabbath!! Shame on you!!

Beaver..............

POSTED 2 MINUTES AGO # REPORT-POST

Loads of anecdotal evidence of them being on the Tay and Almond in the past couple of years. I've seen them up by Blairgowrie, but this is the first roadkill one I've seen.

Pine Martins get quiet dark too but fur seems to long on the roadkill and a like white.

Aww poor beaver.

Heard that there are about 100- 200 now on the Tay. So looking forward to seeing one (whole live one though, not squished).

Edit - Are you going to make a hat?

That doesn't look anything like a beaver!
Looks more like the fur off the snorkel jacket I used to wear when I was a nipper 😀

And I don't think that casualty is, there's no sign of the flat, scaly tail. Could be an otter, they're pretty big. Not a coypu, though, they're bloody huge!

It's probably one of these...

Or, possibly one of them....

But might actually be one of these.....

However, it's highly unlikely to be one of these....
