About ready to through my Macbook at the wall.
I know how to use icloud for pages etc etc
How in the name of god do i set it to sync photos from my iphone ?
I want to be able to access the photos on my iphone on my mac using the cloud to store the pics
This seems impossible to do !? I follow the apple guide and keeps setting up photo streams which appear to do jack ?
Have you got the iPhone setup with iCloud properly as well with photos set to sync?
That's the one I was thinking of cheers Chipsngravy.
You can also set up albums which you can share with people if you wish. But with photo stream photos you take with any device are automatically pushed to all your other devices. You can use albums to share existing photos with all your devices.
Iphone is connected to wifi
Photo stream is switched on
apparently i can go into iphoto and the pics will appear
Nothing happens.
Have you set it up on both devices?
stupid question, you do have one apple account? somehow i managed to set up 2, one for the iPhone and one for the macbook...
for some reason syncing didn't work....
yes i have an apple account.
Everything is turned on but when i go into iphoto, photostream does not appear in the source list.
It doesn't under Libraries select Photos then wait whilst it copies them over.
this is ****ing me right off now.
Photo stream appears on my phone, says new photos taken will auto upload
Take a photo and it doesnt upload it !?
next stupid question how are you trying to access the photos on your mac?
I use aperture and in the list of sources it says iCloud.
From the top.
iPhone:
Settings > Photos & Camera > My Photo Stream select on
Mac Book:
iPhoto > Preferences > iCloud tick My Photo Stream, Automatic Import, Automatic Upload
iPhoto > Preferences > Accounts > Check you iCloud account is there if not click the plus and add it, make sure it matches the one set for Photos on your iPhone.

Come on OP it's not that hard.

@Offroading what version of iPhoto do you have ? I had an old one (2009 Mac, iLife7?) and had to pay for the upgrade to new version to get streaming to work. Just because you have Mavericks doesn't mean you have iPhoto/iCould connectivity
IIRC you need to have 50% battery life or something before they sync.
