Does that actually mean anything? I'm trying to book some flights and Gotogate came up top through skyscanner. I googled them as I've not heard of them and the usual horror stories come up. The alternative is to pay the airline an extra £200 and go direct.

IATA - a trade association representing and serving the airline industry world-wide.
From google,

so they will get you home (probably) just make sure your travel insurance is up to date. Depending on the overall cost an extra £200 for direct sounds tempting as it avoids a lot of hassle and potential stress.
