I'm not having a flounce - it just seems that there's not the same amount of funny threads now, too many threads asking the same questions (ffs there is a search facility) too much whinging and hardly anything informative. There are a few decent threads but a lot less than there used to be.
Maybe it's only me that feels this but interested to know what others think.

They have all got younger and don't have much life experience, died, are out riding, got banned, got bored, or got promoted to jobs with no internet access. Half of them asking about cars/tyres/baby buggies/tents and other crap are astroturfing. I'm a wee bit sceptical of some of the "look at me and my dire circumstances threads. Sorry if genuine but actual proper agencies exist to help you." Mountainbikers know **** all.

If i found out about it on Singletrack 7 years ago I don't even bother to contribute these days. I just assume its public domain and can be found with google. if someone can't find it, hell mend them.

Well, if the mountain bike industry has run out of ideas as is so commonly stated then it's no wonder there's not much left to talk about. I rarely used to bother with the Chat Forum, but now you're more likely to find something interesting there.

Singletrack forum used to be like a local pub in a rough part of town, full of characters helping one another, having a crack, giving and taking the pee out of one another with the occasional bar room brawl

I enjoyed the banter.

The place is more like the canteen in a corporate office block now. The characters have been swept away or made to behave in a more socially acceptable way.

Some turd even complained about a Friday Kylie post a few weeks ago and it was removed!
