I recently bought a new suit and when paying, I was offered a free set of socks. Result.
However the lass that told me this at the counter, had [i]the [/i]most enormous partially unbuttoned bosoms, that forced me into some blind "don't look at the bosoms" paranoia. What happened next is all a bit of a blur, but the socks I picked up are size 5.5 - 8. I'm a 10/11.
Just slipped a pair on and they fit fine. (Mmmmm, new socks).
So pondering it a bit, surely there are far too many variables in the whole lower leg business, to be able to state a sock 'size'?
