Words utterly fail me, at least, ones that won't get me an immediate ban. Unbelievable. 😡

It is a truly dreadful thing to do. They do amazing work. They brought down the body of a friend of mine after he fell and suffered terminal injuries. One of their vehicles was paid for by charitable donations raised in his memory. All that being said - I can't call these people scum. Their actions are despicable and I find it hard to see good things I care about ruined, but I'm not prepared to dehumanise them.

That's a downright low thing to do. I hope those responsible are caught.

WTF goes through the heads of the kind of people that can do this? Will they stop there or move onto ambulances? Fire engines?

I suspect there has been some prior altercation between the culprits and a member of the MRT....

Nothing surprises me any more. where I used to work a breeze block was thrown through the window of a rapid response paramedic vehicle (Skod octavia estate) The culprits were caught, and when asked why they did it "Because they thought it was a police car"!!!

Sad to say but it's possible that the wazocks who did this may have intended to steal the parts that were removed, cutting battery leads may render alarm useless, sadly happens a lot around the dales. Land Rover doors, bonnets rear doors can all be removed just by undoing the bolts/nuts. I know had one and it's happened to me.

After the expletives, this is plain weird. Who TF does that? I'm guessing this will get answered in good time.

Theft for parts, plain and simple. At least it'll be easy to fix. When I clickedthe link, I was expecting to see they'd been burned, so bizarrely, feel a little bit relieved...

Money before morality. It's a sad human trait, hardly uncommon though.

They'd call the MRT. And the MRT would risk themselves to go up there and save them, because that's what they do.

Although 'forgetting' the pain relief kit and aiming for a bumpy route down might be allowed in this case.

I was going to ask if anyone knew how, cheers!

Although does anyone know if I can donate without giving them my details to sell on??? Don't really like the thought of having to register an account in order to give a one-off donation.

If I was a local Land Rover servicing outfit I'd be straight round there to fix them prior to opening up for the day... Sadly, I'm not.

However, the mentality of some people never ceases to amaze...

For anyone else with the same feelings as me...

Update:

We have had an overwhelming level of support on Facebook since posting about the damage to our vehicles yesterday evening. A lot of you have asked how you can donate. The best way to donate is to visit the donation page of our website here:
http://www.llanberismountainrescue.co.uk/donate
You can also donate to us via text, by sending a message to 70070 and writing: "LMRT14" followed by the amount you'd like to donate e.g. "£5" or "£10" Thank you again for all of your support.

Looks like the local LR dealer has gone one better...

That's good news... But JESUS WEPT that 110 that Conwy LR have leant them is minging. I mean, proper eye bleach territory. How to take a decent base vehicle and UTTERLY destroy its looks with bling...

I'm sure that'll be forefront in the mind of someone being scraped off a mountain by one... (-:

"Hi, we're here to save you"
"Gee thanks; this compound tib and fib fracture sure is stinging!"
"No problem, we'll have you loaded up shortly, just lie still..."
"...holy mother of god, is that thing yours? Ummm, thanks but I'll err, hop down I think..."

Good news. A local garage has donated vehicles whilst the vandalised ones are repaired.

Good news all round - both times! I don't think I'd spec my own Landy like the one they've lent out, but I quite like the brazen blong on show... Not exactly subtle!

Criminals are not very nice people shocker!

If there was opportunity and a helthy profit in it thieves would nick parts from ambulances, fire engines hospital equipment and all sorts of other stuff that you would consider to be reprehensible. They don't care.

Scratch it up to humanity being a bit shit...

then read about the support they've had and realise that not the whole of humanity is so bad.
