I like the food hall in Selfridges, the M6 toll road, and the airport is handy - that's about the extent of my appreciation.

Birmingham is OK. At least the people round there don't shuffle around like the drones up north. Had the misfortune to spend some time in Preston and Sheffield once. **** me.
sc-xc, I'd be careful, I think you'll find the people up north will band together and show a United front.
And whatever you do, don't do a swear-filter-avoidance when slagging them off.
Birmingham may not be the prettiest city but the people there are superb. Friendly and cheerful while Northerners manage the curious feat of being friendly but miserable.

I was only joking. i love it up north. But I do get defensive about Brum, it's not a bad place to live nearish.
