First of all it "crashed", so I did the necessary connecting it to iTunes to restore it.

Seems to work, until I switch it back on and it now ALWAYS wants to switch itself off almost immediately. Every five seconds it either just goes blank or goes to the "slide to power off" screen.

Has anyone else had this? I'd appreciate the sharing of any wisdom!!
Thanks in advance
Ash

I've fixed this.

The one I had, the apple reboot listed in that forum didn't work.

Plug you ipod into the computer, hold the sleep and home buttons for about 15 seconds, then open itunes and it will say it has detected an ipod in recovery mode.

But it's a similar process except i unplugged and replugged it a few (about 15) times and it's all of a sudden sprung back into life. Then you connect it to itunes and install the new software.

Thanks - as I said though, I managed the restore process no problem. It's the fact that the device keeps trying to switch itself off which is now getting to me.

Anyone else had this particular problem?
