It makes me wonder, are these real people that angry with the world that comments like this make them feel good?

I watched a lovely video on YouTube about a 10m long r/c Concorde model. There was an equally interesting comment below about someone's experience flying on Concorde in the nineties.
All was lovely...but he used the term stewardess. Then someone corrected him to flight attendant, possibly tongue in cheek. Then someone was buzzing in with'this was in the time before we had 69 genders.
And then I was sad because we can't even have videos of silly big radio controlled planes without the culture wars.

I don’t think here is quite as bad, although I tend to not read the politics posts etc so I’m probably quite good at avoiding it.

Yeah there’s comments everywhere! Even on the niche groups.
Its people who feel safe to throw insults/abuse around as they're protected by the internet. The same people who would just keep their gobs shut if it was a face-to-face interaction for fear of getting their teeth knocked out.
