I’m sitting here with my binoculars and there’s been a man with a camera set up pointing out to sea for over an hour and waiting for something. In the red circle.
But what?

Sue, nah meh.
Mermaids.
Maybe he's wondering why there's someone up there with binoculars staring at him for an hour.
More likely though, sea wall and camera, they're "waiting" for a good shot of the waves breaking over it.
How is the forecast?
3 ND10 filters and a very long exposure
waiting for something
His man?
Does he have $26 in his hand?

Ian Sproat took some 4,000 pictures during a 12 hour-long shoot at Roker Pier in Sunderland on Saturday.
Each to their own but twelve hours standing still?!? That's some dedication to your hobby before you even think about it being 12 hours, in Sunderland, on a Saturday.
Does he have $26 in his hand?
That doesn't look like Lexington 125.
We were sitting in the shelter at Strumble Head when some people turned up and started similar. They were watching for dolphins and porpoises, doing some survey work for wildlife monitoring. They were in a group though which I would expect to be a pre-requisite to avoid boredom, but you never know.
Seals perhaps? Pretty common round there
Waiting for the famous Portreath nude sunbathing society to set up on the bit of beach just behind the sea wall?
