Anyone here working in rotating machinery condition monitoring?
My unsupported CSI 2130 appears to have just turned up it's toes. It's damn useful, but used primarily to maintain a watch on critical or slightly degraded pumps etc. between full surveys carried out by a contractor. Probably not worth spending the top dollar on a 2140 for my use case, but I'm out of the loop of knowing what decent alternatives are the last decade or so. 😁
I know it's a long shot, but can anyone recommend a sensible price replacement. Single channel is fine with a basic demod. function. Doesn't have to have any balancing or other fancy analysis additions although the ability to do bump tests is often handy. Something that doesn't need client software on my PC would be terrific to avoid all the hoops of having non-standard programs on my laptop, (does such a thing even exist??)

yep, no idea, that is some ££££ for the 2nd hand (outdated) version though!!
had a quick google & a few DIY projects involving this thing which is considerably less!

They cost about 3× that price new, plus you need the software for interfacing and data analysis/reporting which is a similar price. Industrial kit like this, license to print money.
That sensor is a very different application Zilog, but is actually very interesting, especially the Raspberry Pi capability. I could make use of those!
