"You idiot!" I shouted through gritted teeth.

I already have my coat on.

Do you need some chips to go with that salt?

I actually did get knocked off by a gritter once. It was really painful & you mentioning this has just rubbed salt into the wound.

We thought about getting gritters banned from the hill near us but it's a slippery slope.

A friend posted today about his favourite paradox. I suggested two mallards. I got about three hours out of that one.

Why do snow plough drivers expect to be well paid?

Because there is snow banks for the work they do.

This time of the year our local council pays farmers to grit the streets. Unfortunately Farmer Tom is a bit deaf and we are now knee deep in manure.

I've been lucky enough to get the Eton advent calendar this year.

Every day one of my chum's parents comes round and opens some doors for me.

I'm surprised to be honest as I've always found the workers driving the lorries to be the salt of the earth.

Is this thread finally getting traction?

Or is it a race to the bottom?
