Back home after working away, made contact with my dad after years of incommunado (he retired today and is very happy), I love mrs BH, i love Bear (my dog), my new bike and Guinness (which I have been drinking if you couldn't tell). The universe feels in balance tonight. Peace to all.

As outrageous as this sounds, let's talk bikes (on the bike forum) for a mo. I looked at the Knolly and thought it looked a bit steep. How's it ride?

Geometry. It's a bike, since when did price matter?

Fair point. 68.5 deg HA is a lot slacker than the Intense 5.5 I came off so I think it's great and one of the main reasons I bought it.
Only ridden cwmcarn and Whites level so far but it's very very stiff and very fast pointing down. One of my wiser purchases so far! Seems to make everything a bit easy.

See, I look at that and think "Gawd, that looks steep".

I've become a bit of a geometry tit.

Maybe I should just buy a bike, ride it and shut up.

Laughably improbable, I suppose.

Why have a steep H/A and slack S/A on a freeride or AM bike?
That's gonna put the CG over the chainset and make it harder to get weight over the front wheel for cornering stability. But it has a steep H/A and short f/c so it'll turn in quick before it washes out just as quick.mmmmmmmmmmm.... contradiction in terms me thinks. Might just cancel out and ride quite nice.

never gonna happen.
I'd like a bash on an alpine 160 but it's massive overkill for what I ride.

Most Canucks disagree and like the fact that the saddle is completely out of the way when down. Outside of the UK, it's quite highly regarded it would seem. It's not a freeride bike, its knollys trail/XC bike. You;re welcome for a blast on mine if in the area.
EDIT, I'm down your way quite a lot skyline, I'll give you a shout next time?

Just to clarify, despite the steepness of your head angle, we also love you, man.
