No speaking, no adverts. Sooooo relaxing.
Not sure what it says about me and my age, but I watch more BBC 4 than any other channel. When it's broadcasting anyway. 🙂
Didn't they have a country bus tour the other day....?
I'm sure they are repeats from last year's go-slow programming.
Just you wait for the reindeer sleigh ride!
Even when I was heavily stoned my threshold for such programmes was to low.... Give me a proper documentary over two hours of logs burning on an open fire any month of the day.
Ha ha, yes,I think they did do a Yorkshire bus tour or such!
I will admit,I didn't watch that and the sleigh ride doesn't appeal much either. I think it's due to me having some whimsical dream of living on a canal boat some day perhaps?
It was very, well, soothing I suppose you could say. Life at slow speed often can be I suppose?
I agree though, on the whole a good solid documentary on the Roman Empire or parallel universes (Though totally over my head) is usually more entertaining!
Canal ride, tick.
Sleigh ride, tick.
Watching the Dales bus atm to unwind before work.
I regularly camp and like nothing better than to stare into a fire for hours, so therapeutic. For me.
Edit; a woman has just boarded at Richmond and spoke to the driver, silence shattered dammit!
Reaches for mute button ...
a real time 2 hour "trip" along a canal...
If you like that you'd love some of my GoPro footage
If anyone has Netflix search for Slow TV. There is a really good one which is the train ride from Bergen to Oslo which is 7 hours long. Same people also did a 134 hour live broadcast of a ship going up the coast of Norway. Loads of others as well, all good in their own way.
I thought the sleigh ride was excellent.
My GF has this on in the background sometimes. Some of you may find it relaxing....
The guy has quite a few videos along a similar theme.
Quite like them, they are a sort of moving wallpaper. Watched the sled ride and the Yorkshire Dales bus.
My sister in law's husband watched the Dales one and was checking out all the properties for sale on RightMove!
Thanks for that find northernmatt, I'll add those to my list 🙂
I'll try alpin's suggestion to maybe help me into sleep.
Cheers lads.
The documentary, or getting heavily stoned?
train ride from Bergen to Oslo which is 7 hours long.
I did part of that line a couple of years ago, Oslo - Myrdal. Awesome scenery, I'll certainly be having a look at that. Cheers
They had some matey making a chair last night. Not quite real-time but no commentary or music. Meanwhile on BBC2 Autumnwatch went all Top Gear, but with fowl.

They towed ducks around an airfield and then blew them up?
When I first heard of slow TV I thought, 'that's going to be boring as f.'
But being open minded and a Yorkshire lover I gave the Dales bus one a go and it turned out it really was boring as f, just like I thought it would be.
Something on about knife making now. You all like a good poncy knife don't you. 🙂
Watching the knife program now.
So nice to watch a program without some idiot presenter stating the bleeding obvious non stop
I like to keep a resting heart rate of a serial killer so I watch this on a loop
Not "allowed" to watch it here. 😉
did it involve loads of swing bridges that dont operate properly and lock gates that were stuck ?
If it's the one on the k&a then it goes along a strava segment called 'one does not simply ride tow path'
BBC4 filmed people doing LSD on a canal? Or am I missing something?
