Eldest OAB was out at Boys Brigade event, and rushed home half an hour before bedtime, desperate to go out on bike to skate park.
No matter the outcome of that argument, I win. 8)

(he went)

I had played 'embarrassing dad on BMX' with him the night before. So he was off out by himself.

Boys Brigade? That still exists? Wow. It's not all crazy haircuts and wannabe Americans these days then.
Can't see my lad signing up though.

Several years ago I portrayed 'embarrassing teacher on a BMX' very successfully. 😳

(Bought a BMX about six years ago, having never had one as a kid, and proved utterly talentless. Turned up with some mates at a skate park right outside a school at which I'd had a placement as a student teacher... kids recognised me when I took off my helmet.)

Was more t'other way about. I've had that moniker on here since I joined goodness know how many years ago; it started off as a joke with my wife as I was a mature student and, understandably, did all the housework, shopping, etc. Unlike many folk on here, I've never changed my username.

Op you definitely won. My eldest wants to come 'night riding' with me again. Problem is he's only 4 so waiting up until 900 to take him isn't really viable unlike being able to go at 500 in February!

I changed after the big site crash as my name was no longer geographically accurate by then. Technically I don't have a garage since February since replacing it with a nice wooden workshop.
