Ben - That's pretty impressive stuff.

Was it you that had a website with a load of photos on it?

Do you never carry a gas meter with you? Sounds like you are going in some fairly high risk spaces?

I don't normally - that's mostly coal mines - but I'm always very wary of bad air underground.

My website's www.transientplaces.co.uk - some pictures on there 😉

Brilliant! There were some explorers in the States who always went in evening dress...

Are you on DerelictPlaces.co.uk?

Not much - occasionally, but on 28DL much more.

Excellent article, Ben, I've been fascinated by the whole UrbEx thing for some time, since in read about the girl who went into the Chernoble exclusion area on a motorbike and took photos.
I've bookmarked Transient Places, and 'Liked' it on Fb too, to keep up with what's going on.
Good luck with your explorations, and stay safe!

Brilliant stuff Ben, just wasted a good hour looking at your website, not quite the same league, but spent the weekend exploring my wife's uncles farm in Norfolk, he is going to rent out some of the land and showed me all these old Nissen Huts, turns out they were part of a Canadian air base during WW11, the huts haven't been touched since the war, still has a bar, dart board, old arm chairs and empty beer bottles in the mess, dirty graffiti in the toilets etc.

I think that is what I like about your photos, many of them capture a moment in time, and the degradation is saddening as they slowly turn to ruin.

Agreed.

Don't know how he managed it, he's really rude in Real Life.
