They are now that I'm awake and can't remember where they were.

Next time you're asleep see if you can find that blokes hard drive with £6M worth of bitcoin stored in it, you might have more luck than him and dreaming is cheaper than lawyers!

Surely a dream about a sock eating monster is called a nightmare?

Did you find a set of keys with the socks?

I wondered if it was about space travel, where you went to Mars, found it was populated by loofahs and that they had a king, so you actually met the Martian loofah king.

I was wondering the other day whether dreaming and dementia are the same bits of your brain taking control.

I have dreams where my grandparents are still alive, my gran died like 30 years ago. I had one the other day where someone had left the front door open and the cats had escaped, except it was at my old house and in real life we didn't get the kittens until after we'd moved house so they'd never been there. I have a recurring dream where I can't find the car, maybe it's "somewhere" on a multi-storey, or I can't remember whether I've driven somewhere or walked there, but it's always one of the cars I owned decades ago. Sometimes there's confusion over which car I should choose, like I've left the Cavalier somewhere so I'll take the Escort, despite never owning both at the same time.

From listening to my dad ramble on when he lost his mind, it doesn't seem wildly dissimilar.

I had a dream where I was time travelling and somehow managed to leave my bike 500 years in the past.  I was absolutely gutted - crying my eyes out in the dream.  Woke up and was quite surprised to discover that i wasn't really crying at all

Also,

My dream brain can be smarter than I am. I've dreamt up entire escape rooms in my sleep. A few nights ago I dreamt I had a phone call from a mate who was in a panic because his other half had been taken for thousands in an online currency scam, she'd invested heavily in "Distance Dubloons." That's brilliant, my conscious mind would never have come up with that name if my life depended on it.

Everybody knows they are cremated in the tumble dryer. It's where that fuzz stuff comes from

When I was a babe in arms in 1963 we lived in New York. My mother was a bit of a lefty liberal, something that I have always found rather surprising but admirable for the daughter of a Jamaican plantation manager. When I was a child, I can remember that she would tell me that we went to Washington to hear MLK Jnr give that speech. It's too good a story to be true surely? My mum couldn't have made it up could she? I have no way of corroborating whether or not it is true, but I like to think that it is.
