I am going for a swim in the river this evening after work. Luckily the forecast has changed from thunder storms to simply heavy rain. I don't mind swimming in a downpour but don't fancy getting fried while doing it.
Don't really mind the temperature. Sure, 20 degrees is a lovely riding temperature, but I'd still rather -5 or 35 than rain.
Thinking of getting one of these for winter emtb duties.
I might just blummin well get one now

As a new beekeeper (see previous posts), I'm worried about my bees!
I took a full box of honey off each hives in late spring. They managed to fill a couple more on each of my two hives in May/June, but the weather has been so bad, with little flowering forage, that they've scoffed most of this stored honey. I'll check them again in a couple of days, but I suspect I will need to start feeding them to ensure they have sufficient reserves to survive the winter; or at least until the heather starts to blossom.
Does that onsie come with a Tron bike?
It really is bloody filthy out. My wife and kids have gone camping on the wettest day of the summer - it hasn't stopped since last night and the tent is leaking.
Maybe the hosepipe ban will be over soon.
I think it's partly that the weather is so changeable it's difficult for the forecasters to keep up. It should be chucking it down where I am at the moment but if I'd got on with it I could easily have slotted in a 2-3 hour ride and stayed dry.
To be fair, it never really got going!
Most of the reservoirs between Settle and Glossop are full. The only one 'less full' was undergoing maintenance on a slipway. We rode Settle to Glossop on the Penning Bridleway at the weekend and where it was muddy, it was filthy.
Walked to the coop and back in the rain - even the horses looked p****d off today -never seen them standing in a line along side a barn for shelter before -Â so much rain (W.Yorks)
Our local country show (Tenbury) looks like its going to be a washout tomorrow 😞
Shame as I think (hope) it won't be as bad as the forecast says, but it'll be enough to put a lot of people off going.

My Mrs has a stall there in the craft tent. It's not looking great. Still, she was at another country show yesterday (Burwarton) and the afternoon forecast was pretty dire. Apart from one very wet 10 minute downpour, the rest of the day was pretty good and much better than forecast. 🤞Tenbury isn't quite as bad as forecast!
I don't mind if it's not sunny, I don't mind if it's not that warm, as long as it doesn't bloody rain for a bit, I'll be content. This weekend is the 5th in a row for me (South Manchester) for heavy rain forecast.
That's enough now.
I'm riding this eve and it's due to be sunny.
I don't really mind the trails being wet, but I can't exactly set my suspension up for the Alps in these conditions.
there's sun over Derbyshire, for now at least
