However today I ventured into the comments on a post from Dignity in Dying ( I know - I'm boring you) Jeepers the anti side just get more vile and the lies are incredible. Did you know that healthcare workers are paid to kill people in their care? that in Canada a man took euthanasia because he was homeless. That doctors want to kill people to harvest their organs, that we are going to murder children? Nope - me neither
they didn't like it when i called out their lies and quoted the bible at them. 🙂

A lot of those professing their Christianity are anything but, usually failing at the "love your neighbour. . ." and "judge not. . ." parts of their Saviour's messages. Similarly those hoarding money rather than using it to relieve suffering are falling down on the "eye of the needle" section.

there is no factual anti argument. there is the religious anti argument and there is the lies the religious spread pretending its a factual anti argument. I have never seen a single anti point that stands up and 99% of the objections come from religious groups inventing fake secular objections

We've some issues at work with some folk who hold a very extreme view. Engaging with them has only given them more oxygen. And nothing, nothing anyone else says will vary then from thier chosen narrow mindedness

Forever ago, I had the JWs at my door and bleary-eyed I tried the gambit of "thanks very much but I already have a religion." I hadn't really thought it through. They asked what it was, I blurted out something, it may have been Catholicism, or Cubism or something. They replied "ah yes, well, we find [your claimed belief] to be highly hypocritical." I replied "well perhaps, but we're not knocking on doors telling people that their faith is wrong." At which point Jehovah's Sith Lord and his young Padawan made their excuses and left hurriedly.
(And I'm sorry if this is your faith and my tongue-in-cheek descriptions are considered disrespectful, but you knock on my door with questions and a smug grin at 8am on a Sunday morning, you've proactively solicited comment. Its a topic I feel very strongly about. there is a concerted and co-ordinated campaign of lies and propaganda being pushed by religious fundamentalists. Unless rational voices are there to oppose them they will persuade some folk that there is truth in their lies
this morning one of the opponents when challenged bout his religion being discriminatory and pushing there morality on the non religious said this:
