Now there have been several (many) threads about the new forum and if I've commented it's been rather neutral in that while I've pointed out that a lot of the "problems" were/are user errors I haven't supported/been in favour of the new forums or the official responses.
So in attempting to use the forums on my iPad recently I find that they crash my browser roughly every five minutes, this when either logged in or not. For a WordPress site to do this takes something. It's virtually impossible to reply to a post as the editor moves around at random as the adverts load/reload. Even better the forum has managed to reboot my iPad twice. That really takes some doing.

Mines not much better, constant reloads of the page.
Or maybe it's retribution for having started up a new forum

Yep, the loading/active element icon is constantly active when on the site.

Just waiting for him to suggest updating browser/OS/hardware.

Hell hath no fury ...
There's a new forum ?
I don't care just as long as I know my privacy is being valued.
And I like to be assured of it every time a page loads.
Try not using Safari. That seems to be a fairly common denominator. I'll make tech aware of this thread in case something has changed.

Then there's a problem with cookies at your end. Talk to me if you have any interest in trying to narrow it down.
Trying using Countzero's iPad too.
Try not using Safari.
It's what I use.
OP what version of iOS and Safari?
It does appear to be very poor
Bladblock blus seems to be a prerequisite to browsing the forum with any sort of stability. The privacy notice doesn't appear (why is that flagged as an ad?), the script that refuses to respond doesn't run in the first place and the only downside is not being able to browse the classifieds which is easily sorted when I'm in there.
That's using Mozilla on Android and Windows.
Work adblocker allows the ads oddly enough but blocks the scripts and privacy popup meaning, again, a stable browsing experience.
Something is clearly very wrong.
@Drac - Safari 7 on iOS 7.1, it's an iPad 2 so won't run the latest versions, even iOS 8 wasn't recommended for the iPad 2.
@squirrelking - adblockers don't actually flag or block ads as such, they block network requests to the servers providing those ads so anything that comes from those servers will also be blocked - extra servers/domains can be added or existing ones whitelisted. So if the privacy popup comes from the same server you won't see it.
