Had a median PC from Aldi which has been pretty good and they have a couple of these left in Aldi by me for what, as someone that doesnt really pay any attention to these things, seems like a reasonable price.

3 year warranty sounds good too.

Any thoughts STW massive?

Ta.

I've got one from last year - not quite the same model as this one - I don't think mine has full HD, but I couldn't give a monkeys.

Ours is fine. The EPG isn't amazing, but it's a lot better than my Dad's JVC telly has, which only shows you one channel at a time and has no internal memory.

Picture is fine - blacks aren't as black as they are on a CRT, I've no idea if other LCDs are much better or worse. It doesn't suffer from the bizarre colour problems I've seen on some branded LCDs (ie, everyone looking very orange etc.).

Got one, had it for over a year. Sound quailty crap, speakers can't cope. Bought some cheap extension speakers from Asda, but these run from the Sky + box, so can't watch a DVD or play on PS3 with sound via these speakers, just not been arsed sorting out a fix to it.

Re the blackness, there are others out there with a better contrast ratio, which I understand will effect the image when it is quite dark.

Were good VFM last year when most other 32" LCDs were £350 or so, plus warranty, last year the Tevion was £300 including 3 year warranty - and Aldi are surprisingly good at honoring warranty issues.

I've got a 32 inch Medion/tevion one. Generally okay but...

- Sound is not good. The case or the speakers rattle at even moderate volumes.

- Both the HDMI and VGA inputs export the wrong EDID data. So basically it won't run at native resolution (1366x768). I once got my Mac to do the correct resolution and it was beautiful 8) , but when I switched the TV off and on again, it wouldn't do it. Not good. Manually forcing 1366x768 using PowerStrip doesn't work.

- Poor quality upscaler (image ghosting/flickering)

- Backlight is very bright, not enough contrast to get a decent picture at night. Good in daytime though.

- The built in Freeview tuner is rubbish. It says either 100% strength or 0%. Assume this is another firmware bug. A lot of picture break up. EPG very very slow. Sound quality very poor (loads of hiss - sounds like a C90!)
