'Austin Healey in talking cobblers shocker'

Nobody takes him seriously, do they?

I don't play rugby but I don't really see what was wrong with the comments (other than the unfortunate timing of the screen showing somebody shoving fingers into a player's eyes while commentator was saying that the unrelated incident of "barging" was nothing to get excited about)

??

Healey's an eejit.

Cueto however, is something that rhymes with shunt. That was bloody shocking. "here mate, you hold him and I'll gouge his eye out". Is that a spurt of blood that comes out just after the gouge? Ewww. Yuck.

I think Healey's use of toxic hair-restoring products have caused noxious substances to leach into his eyes, therefore preventing him from seeing the bleeding obvious.

Chances are a rugbyist will be a gentleman. Chances are a footballist will be a thug. Eg Rooney - imbecilic thug. Hero to millions more like him.

yes rooney swears gentleman rugby player tries to gouge out other man's eye. I can see why you are so cross at rooney as the imbecilic thug. Like all right thinking and decent people I can take an assault like any other person but please please dont use profanities near me.

sticks and stones may not break my bones but names will really hurt me as the childhood ditty goes

JY, like his manager, you haven't seen the elbows either? We'll say nothing of shagging GILF prostitutes. Imbecilic thug. I couldn't give a shit about the swearing tbh. You just assumed incorrectly, that's all. He was an imbecile and a thug before he swore at the camera. Hero to millions more like him.

Wasn't Healey talking about the nugget who got sent off after charging into his own teammate, rather than the gouging?

To be fair, I don't think Healey was referring to the gouging no.

Wash your mouth out!!
OOOOOoooo Gavin 8) 😯 😆

On re watching it seems you might be right about Healey's comments, oh well back to the drawing board on the evidence of his idiocy.

Cueto the god botherer though should miss the world cup over that!

Don't think he was. That's grim, totally can't understand why any player would even consider doing this to another. It does not look good for Cueto could be 6 month ban if not more?

you mistake me for elfin I said it was a red card I am neither blind nor stupid - not all footy fans are despite your low view of us
Rooney is good at football and not very good at life - who could argue? I really dont get your hatred of football and why you must have a go at people who like footy.

Oh give it a rest JY.

You're making so many wrong assumptions this evening...

YOU came onto the thread to start - and you can't take it when it's thrown back at you. Why's that?

I really dont get your hatred of football

Fail. I actually like football. I just don't like footballers much.
EDIT: I don't like quite a few footballers much

you must have a go at people who like footy

Fail again. I'll certainly have a pop when someone who has little or no interest in rugby comes in to spout some ridiculous shit. You did know it was ridiculous didn't you? Tell me you did...

Now **** off and find a football thread on which to fight with someone.

No, it was the "exasperated with bullshit spouting football fans" - bone.

I'm telling JLS on you - they'll be round to get you!

i only meant it as a fairly flippant throwaway remark due to the amount of rugby folk who slag off footy thugs hence the term footballist - i have no idea why you have gone straight to rage though. I tend to just ignore the wendy ball comment from rugbyists in footie threads and tend to not wander across boundaries to sports i dont like/get. This reminds me why.

though this was originally an edit i moved it to here as it made more sense [sort of].

Eye gouging, I know is a favourite in France. Filthy behaviour.

Some of the tools who do that ought to get themselves in a Superleague or NRL game - there's no time for eye gouging when someone straight arms you at head height.

Then stick to this in future thanks. I try.

I haven't gone to rage - more to exasperation. This isn't the first time you've done this either, but you knew that already. I'm happy enough discussing football on football threads on its own merit.

this reminds me why

I'll always be here to remind you when you make stupid comments, don't worry.

Plenty of time for John Hopoate to get his greasy mitts involved though .

Played rugby union for a long time but love to watch league - hard as nails those lads.

I like Cueto, he adds a certainly maturity and brains to the England back 3. However, that incident is horrible, he knows exactly what he is doing and should, quite rightly, get a long ban for it.

I watched it again. Reckon Cueto was giving back what he got given on the floor.
@2:15 the no.4 gives it to Cueto with both hands in his face, probably not expecting to get overpowered by an old winger:
[img] [/img]

But Austin was a bit wrong to say it was nothing - although he stopped talking when the gouge went in!

a joke and so predictable
Rees got 12 weeks for an accidental contact, and I thought that light

That's a joke - how can Dylan Hartley get 27 weeks for a similar incident and Cueto only get 9!? As AA says Rees got 12 weeks for accidental contact! This has no place in rugby and like it or not guys like Cueto are people who kids look up to and want to emulate. Yet gain inconsistencies in ban lengths by disciplinary panels...

Healey may be a bit of a twit at times, but some of his analysis is good, and he has some good banter with the Shed when he comes down to Gloucester.
