Butcher's pork pie with peas and mint sauce.
Butcher's steak pie with beans.
Butcher's sausage roll with sausage roll
Or
Fish and chips - fried in beef dripping because it's a proper chippy (that proudly displays a "chips are not suitable for vegetarians" sign.)

Lunch time is fast approaching and I'm stuck. Help please.

I'm sure you could accommodate fish & chips and a pie for later.

Looks at my dry ham sandwich with disgust.

But which pie hammy? Or do I give in, ditch the beans and peas and have pie with pie? And will I then survive the sweet aroma of other people's Fish and chips, wafting down the corridor into my office all afternoon?

Proper pork pie, still warm?

Butchers in Armley in the late 90's - every Friday 🙂

Regrettably, today is beer-and-curry-on-the-way-home-from-work-day so no pie later

Yes, you even get a choice of (as if it's a choice) "extra jelly or normal"

Fish n chips was yesterday's lunch of choice. Nice bit of rump in the evening.

Bacon, cheese and mushroom wraps devoured just this minute.

Homemade massaman to hit this week's curry quota tonight 🙂

By a stroke of luck things have been simplified - the butcher's van turned up an hour and a half early so I've had pork pie for elevenses and shall have fish and chips for lunch.

I may have to forgo the paratha this evening to make up for it though.

You're supposed to take the meat home and cook it first.

Oh my. I nearly fainted. Pork pie it is then.

Or steak, or fish and chips.

Good to see lots of healthy eaters here.

It's all healthy in moderation.

I think.

Though in not sure the extra scraps come under that banner.

T'were bloody lovely though.

Turns out today is also a birthday so there are cream cakes for the afternoon too. I think tomorrow will be about starvation diets.
