Ok, just done the 20 min Wattbike threshold test. How do i use this threshold heart rate in training for prolonged efforts (sportives). Do i train at the threshold or at a percentage?

Threshold is your benchmark that is used to tailor your training sessions.

It sounds like you are after increasing your endurance so do some long rides at tempo (British Cycling Z3).

If you have a wattbike surely HR is irrelevant and you need to been training in the correct power zone

Watts is absolute, HR varies

Heart rate is a good indicator and served cyclists well for many years but as dirty said above, it does vary. Even if you hold steady power hr will climb gradually.
