..on a pc ?
not working for me. I did mention it on the main thread but don't think I have seen the answer, if there is one..
Hit >> to go to the last page. Press End on your keyboard to scroll to the bottom.
One for the feedback thread really.
Don't think you can. Ideally you should be able to click on the name of the last contributor on the RHS and be whisked there, but instead it takes you to their profile, which is less intuitive.
Perhaps one for the 'new forum' sticky thread.
You don't. It's been absent for as long as I've been here., assuming you mean first unread post. If you mean last post it's as MH said; you used to be able to click on the poster's name in the index but that doesn't work any more.
@Cougar, the feedback thread is only for the look of the place, not the functionality.

I didn't know about the 'End' key...cheers 👍
'End' only works for me if I have Num Lock off. If Num Lock is on, Shift+End works. And Home works the same way but goes to the top of the page.

They used to have it, then they took it away 🙁

Still part of the theme, innit. It 'looks' like there isn't a button to do what the OP is asking.

Home / End / Page Up / Page Down is standard browser functionality, unrelated to a specific site. In many other apps (Notepad, Excel and a supporting cast of thousands), Shift-Home and Shift-End will do the same thing (Home and End unshifted go to beginning / end of line rather than file). This should really be more widely known as it makes driving a PC a lot faster.
It annoys the proverbial out of me when laptop keyboards put them Fn-shifted on the cursor keys or otherwise piss about with them, so I now have stop and work out the specific Vulcan Nerve Pinch to perform what has been a regular keypress since like the IBM 5150 forty years ago. It's Fn-Shift-F12 on my work's Dell, yet Page Up and Page Down are on the arrow keys. The hateful bastards.
Thanks, as per my op, I did put it on one of the feedback threads.

This computer used to have that, with the F2 "helpfully" mapped to "volume down", F5 "keyboard backlight", etc. Total PITA if you know how to use a keyboard. Fortunately it was just a setting, so now they're back to normal. Unfortunately "Start" and "End" are on the F11 and F12 keys, which I never use for anything, and now need to use a Dell-specific "Fn" key 🤬
And don't get me started on the members of my team who don't know how to edit code using a keyboard - selecting blocks with the mouse, using the scroll wheel to get to the bottom of an editor window... TBH it's one of the major disadvantages I see about WFH: there are loads of little tricks you learn from watching someone else use a computer, and it's something the juniors in my team are going to miss out on.
Anyway, back to the op. And as molgrips points out, it's something we used to have. And I still miss.
Yeah. My old Lenovo has Fn and left Ctrl in the 'wrong' places, transposed from every other keyboard ever. They must know this as there's an option to switch them in BIOS. Great. Can you get replacement keycaps? Of course you can't.
We should have a hints & tips tread.
We should have a hints & tips tread.
We shouldn't need a hints & tips thread. 😉
I meant generally for PC tips, rather than specifically for STW.
You shouldn't need to be shown how to use a computer in much the same way that you shouldn't need to be shown how to use a car. They're both complex things. The plainly obvious risk differences aside, why do we suppose that one is just assumed knowledge? It's not.
My question however was, up till a few days ago, on a windows pc, clicking on the thread brought up the most recent post on the thread. Now it brings up the top of the thread, or page if it has gone onto a second or subsequent page.
Not as intuitive. Also used to have a wee green icon top left that took you back to forum home page from anywhere.
