As above. I don't have cable at the moment as currently in the process of looking for a semi-permanent home so I need a way to watch these events that allows me to watch the events on demand. Any suggestions?

Check out Channel Hopper. Gives access to all terrestial channels, is stable, has very good response if there are issues and costs €5 / month or similar.

TSN aren't showing the TdF,  unfortunately.

For the footy...

Install acestream onto computer

Go to the reddit soccer stream page, select wanted stream and enter code into acestream player.

For the tour, not sure if reddit have a cycling streams page, I will use a VPN (I currently use expressVPN) handy for expats anyway to get bits and bobs of UK TV and radio, and for more choice of worlwide netflix selections.

VPN or IP blocker.

Nord VPN is good and pretty easy.

If you want something Firefox based and dead easy then the HOXX add-on works very well.

However, I'd go for the blocker called Unlocator.  It requires two minutes of setup and a modicum of following instructions to change a couple of settings, but is dead easy really. Works best with BBC that's notoriously unreliable through VPNs.

As you might guess, I live abroad ...!

Don't bother with Acestream directly, grab a copy of Sodaplayer instead. It can stream acestream links and cast to Apple TV and Chromecast. It's also available for Windows and Mac 🙂
