I have to agree with this point of view.
Some irritants like nothing more than dragging you down to their level so ignoring them, however hard they try to wind you up, is often the best option.

I know someone who likes nothing better than sending people snotty letters (I've had a few) playing the big man. Let's see how he likes shite being sent in the post to him. Might make him think twice in the future.
