We moved into our new house at the end of last year. The old lady that lived there before (who had the house from new) obviously didn't like her windows open.
We move in and open the windows, the black rubber seal had stuck some of the windows shut. So we've got them open, but if you close them tight, they stick straight back up again. Opening them again feels like the window frames are going to break.
Is there anything we can spray or wipe over the seals that won't perish them, but will stop them sticking?
bit of silicone spray like people use on their fork stanchions. spray on cloth and wipe on the rubbers.
use a solvent cleaner to remove any residue from the frame itself, then use silicone spray as mentioned above. you may need to apply a few times initially
