There is a good chance that for 1 weekend next summer there will be 40,000 people in the park at the end of my road at a music festival. A good chunk of people local are moaning but I've been trying to work out how to make some cash out of them.

Air BnB is out, not enough return for the effort
Selling food is out as I presume I'd need a hygiene licence
Selling flashing plastic tat could be a goer but not sure

Any suggestions?

Parking on your drive if you have one.

If it looks like rain by some plastic cagols and cheap wellies

Moan at the organiser until they provide free tickets for your entire family. Then sell them on.

Traffic is terrible round here at the best of times so any car related stuff is out.

Tickets are £30, not sure its worth the return.

Bottled water maybe not a bad idea.

Doubt I'd get away with selling warm beer on the street.

Cans of Stella and Thatchers in a big bin full of cold water on the route in. £2 a pop. Security can't do anything if you are not on the bounds of the event site.

Maybe add bottles of water too, again £2.

Good luck! Let us know how much £££ you make 🙂

The local Alcohol Licensing Authority might have something to say about it though.

Warm-up festival in your front garden. £3 entry. Get people in the mood as they head to the main event.

Just ask them to sponsor you to ride your mountain bike for a year. 10p from each of them and you have £4,000

Yeah what’s the festival? I want to go!

Edit: are you on about tramlines?
In which case I’ll buy some warm Stella from you for £2

Used to live just round the corner, I wonder if we overlapped?

Bags of ice. No one likes a warm lager or cider. I'd gladly pay 3 or 4 quid for a bag of ice at a festival.

Just seen no camping so the ice is out. Not really a festival then. Bottled water is the winner really.

Its Tramlines festival.

Not sure I can get away with supplying alcohol even if it is warm.

Depends on how many towels you have, I doubt most people have more than 10 or so, and you're not gonna dry them in time. Not sure it's worth buying 500 towels, nor worth doing for £50.

Could you just rob the punters? Gotta be some nice watches in there, and loads of cash.

Have a bbq and see what you can listen to.
All great suggestions but nothing that will equate to more than a couple of quid an hour for the effort you put in.

So is it true it’s moving to hillsborough Park then?
If previous years are anything to go by I think rain capes will be the biggest sellers.

Metal detector / scavenging the morning after. People lose or leave all sorts at festivals.
