Ridiculous problem to have, but have it I do.
My central heating runs on heatmiser thermostats, and in each room I have a remote temperature sensor (the 'air sensor', I think it's called), as the in-wall thermostats are utterly bobbins at actually measuring the temperature.
I placed the sensors a year ago and now need to start replacing the batteries, and cannot for the life of me find them. Without ripping apart each room, is there any easier way to find the effing remote sensors?!!
Check the instruction manual? I assume that would give recommended height/places which you can check first.
Otherwise maybe a wire/stud detector although those tend to be pretty narrow range so probably not much better than ripping it apart.
i have the same, and in my experience the answer is NO. Also, i've found those air sensors rubbish at keeping a connection to wifi -i was looking at a way to use one of the same wifi wall controllers as a dummy sensor only but didnt want to have yet another device plugged in somewhere random (x2)..
