Old couple, my second cousin and a dear old soul. Was in touch with the odd phone call, cards etc but no answer to phone calls for several weeks and I know she was having falls and was almost blind as was her husband.
Concerned that the inevitable has happened or in a home maybe but have no contact details for their son apart from his name to ask him. Internet searching draws a blank, and a friend has knocked the door at the house and no sign of life.
If the son is ex-directory is there and way I can find him, or look at local death records?

Get the friend to knock on the neighbours doors and ask them?

Have you checked the obituary section of the local papers?

Considering a (slightly) more positive outcome*, with their condition you describe, they may have moved in to care? So morbidly checking obituary columns may be fruitless.

I've phoned the most likely local crematorium and they have no record of the surname. Good shout on asking neighbours...
