Work are willing to see me through a part time hnc. Two colleges near me run part time courses in electrical and electronic engineering. Not being all that clued up on such things, how do I work out which is the better course?

better in what sense?

Find out the City and guilds course then see what each course offers in termsof what you do what you want to do in the future

Ask your co workers what they have /what they recomend

if they are the same then theoretically it is the same [ like a GCSE is a GCSE]

All electrical HNC's should have four compulsory units (electrical principles, engineering science, analytical methods and a project) with a further four optional units.

Some colleges differ in the choice of optional units so I'd pick the one that does the ones your interested in.

Cheers guys. If I could find pure electrical rather than electronic it would be much better but no one seems to run one. It's really the HV and EHV stuff I need to learn about.
