I have pre-conceptions about certain forum members' (s****) heights, and no doubt many of us do.

Despite my online "inadequate small angry man" persona I am a manly 185cm/6' 0.5" (YES 0.5"!)

You?

Despite my small monkey moniker I'm just over 6'2".

If I was a midget I'd call myself something like...err..tootall or something 😀

193cm / 6'4". Not so tall that I have to ride really gangly looking bikes these days, but still too big to fit comfortably in a Lotus for prolonged periods.

I say 6'4" but some think i'm closer to 6'6" one day i'll get measured properly.

Tall enough for people to say "gosh aren't you tall" all the time, standard response is "no i've got my heels on".

You'd be amased how many look to check.

Have managed to get close to 15st which is the lightest since my 20's!

5ft 3 and three quarters but in my mind I am 6 foot 6 and weigh 245.
Kind of broad at the shoulders, narrow at the hip.

Why do some people consider growing an achievement?

Cos not everybody has managed to do it. It make it look easy though - I did pretty much all my growing as a child and teenager, some might have called me a child prodigy, others might have called me a lanky child prodigy.

6'6" - Adult sized.

6"2 but have tiny legs!

A friend of mine was given grown hormone as a kid as there was a worry he wasn't growing properly - he ended up 6"5" but its all body - looks like his trousers are falling down - looks like a cat walking on its hind legs . When I crouch to tie my shoe laces my knee meets my shoulder - if he does it his knee is at the bottom of his ribs.

Without sounding sleezy or a come-on, I think girls your sort of height look 'right'.

When girls go over 6ft their feet are the same size as blokes.

Jeez Loco I'm actually 100kg's/1 inch shorter and you think YOU are heavy. Oops, weigh****chers!

6'2"

Either STW contains an unusually tall cross section of the general population, or their is some exaggeration going on here.

When girls go over 6ft their feet are the same size as blokes.

I remember dating a girl who was 6'1", finest adams apple of any girl I ever dated.

6'2" and 12st - long legs too, so high saddle.

5'5"". Got a picture somewhere of me standing next to my 6'5" mates 29er, his saddle is at my chest height!

I remember following a small chap leading a rideout. He shouted back to watch the hole in the fence, as it was low. He'd ridden through it while I struggled to push my bike through as the saddle was touching the top.

Lots of tall people posting, you freaking weirdos. Get some help! You're not normal so don't pretend you are.

5'11" here, just under 13 stone. You see, *that's* normal. I blame my father who was quite short.

Gosh, average height of STW users is really pretty high, must be more than national average? Or are we getting a unfair sample as big folk are more likely to say "phwooaaaar, check out the size!" etc etc?

195cm here. (which is 6' 4", innit? )

Phwooaaar! 😉

Another one here to bump up the average. 6'7"

I like being tall, but would rather be around 6'4" given the choice. The world is still designed for the average man.

At least it's easier to find big bikes these days, it used to be a nightmare.

A towering 5' and weighing in at a mighty 47kg 🙂

Does that make me the shortest and lightest STWer?

(It does make me pretty quick at riding up hills ... there's just less of me to get up there!)

It's interesting to see the mix of imperial and metric measurements people are using.

Just measured. Which is an inch more than I'd always assumed.
Which means my BMI's just dropped from 23.3 to 22.5!

Apart from Dean I cannot remember being surrounded by giants on the Pootles -does this mean gravity is stronger up here so we are all shorter.

Pook - 6ft 1" - now what do I win?

6'5" 16 stone. Gradually getting back to 'before we had kids' weight.

FWIW, I have a very warped view of what normal heights are having done rowing as a sport for a long time - 6'5" seems pretty normal still. I was certainly never the tall one. That or about 5'2" for the coxes...

We had a young lady in the shop once who was probably about 6 ft.
I was looking at her and something was not the norm. Then I realised I could ser daylight between her legs when she came to the counter.
For me, the counter is belt height. I estimate her inside leg must have been 39" and she wasn't wearing high heels.
Ps im not a perve,honest .

As I said above, I'm 6'5". At some parties where a few of the GB rowing squad women were in attendance, they were looking down on me when they were in heels... odd experience 🙂
