Never I bid what I feel acceptable and if I lose by £1 I'm happy I wasn't a mug to increase my bid.

I walked away from an auction not long ago, someone wanted £25 for something worth about £20. I offered £15 though their "make me an offer" feature, we started haggling, I was splitting the difference and he was knocking about 10p off each time. After three rounds I thought "you know what, bugger this" and told him to stick it. I'm too stubborn for my own good sometimes.
