My Caddy has had a pretty dodgy spray job which is starting to look a bit rubbish. Can't really afford a new van at the moment, and by the time it comes to sell it, it'll look awful. Does anyone know how much a vinyl wrap would cost (nothing special, probably just white?) Or how this would compare to the cost of another spray job?
Cheers.

I think you're looking just over a £1k for a small van.

No too sure how much paint jobs are these days.

That's one classy wrap on that mini!
Not really worth doing if it's going to cost £1k.
Anyone have any ideas on cost of a spray job?

Speak to these guys about a liquid wrap, they reckoned on about £350 upwards to do a Caddy

We vehicle wrap at work, it will cover colour imperfection but the vinyl is very thin so won't cover rough or bad orange peel finish. Of all the vans out there a Caddy is probably the easiest, so that's going to keep costs down. One word of warning though, you get what you pay for with vehicle wraps, cheap vinyl and a fitter who is rushing to meet a price point will result in a poor finish and a wrap which will fail in a short time span.
If you have a white van at the moment and you wrap it white, you won't need the door shuts and sills done if you change colour it can look a bit odd with non matching door sides and sills.
Also if you have a crap paint job at the moment and you want to remove the wrap when you sell it, it could take the paint off with it.
£1k is about right if you want the roof done as well.
Hope that helps

You'd be better getting it resprayed - any vehicle wrapper worth their salt won't touch vehicles with bad re-spray's - it's just asking for trouble.

Thanks guys...lots to think about there.
Maybe it'll be a case of giving it a good polish after Christmas and then getting rid. It was bought in a hurry and looked ok for a while but it's started to fade. Why are vans so bloody expensive? I can't claim back the vat and 90% of them have vat on top.

Its a van - why does it need picture perfect paint ? Its a tool , youll never pull in a van 😉

How ever , if you paid over the odds for a flashy shiny paint job ........

They dont need to be expensive just buy what everyone else doesnt want. Usually lower power non vag group vans.

I like entry level french vans - cheap to buy , cheap to run and cheap to fix. Mines probably has a dent or scratch on everypanel thanks to peoplemthat cant parkmand thinking "its only a van" in carparks. I dont care - i bought smart and its not depreciating even with the dents all over
