Stupidly I scuffed my rear wing, a bit of the door and the door handle by clipping my own gatepost this morning getting off the drive.
There are two body shops next to where I work. Both seem to have a reasonable reputation. One quoted £450. The other £250. Waiting for a quote from the local Chipsaway.
Any guesses?
Ten quid bottle of t-cut and some elbow grease.

The £250 guy does all the work for the Car Supermarket up the road. Said the going rate was £100 per panel + £50 for the paint.

We paid £200 for a single-panel, wheelarch scuff like that to our local body shop. Ours was down to metal and a *slight* dent in on arch.

Some scrote dropped a house brick from a bridge onto my doughters car. The damage to the bonnet and a scratch the same as yours was £400 at local body shop. I think £250 sounds reasonable.
Chipsaway have come in at £384.
People have been killed by bricks going straight through windscreens. At amy sort of speed they punch straight through. Your daughter wad very, very lucky. 1 second later and it may well have been a totally different outcome.

What kind of car is it OP and how old? My car would wear that as a badge of honour, a bit like a junker with a duelling scar...

Going to save my pennies for a month or two then get it fixed. I don't need to be reminded that I'm an idiot every time I get in the car.
I fixed a similar amount of damage on my mum's old car in a similar place. I'm no DIYer at all and had never done anything like it before and there was no YT to guide me back then. Fine grades of wet and dry, a can of the relevant paint from the dealer, masking tape and newspaper, and Bob moved in with your auntie! 😂 OK. So it wasn't professional, or unnoticeable, but it did the job and didn't smack you in the face as being crap.

I'm not ruling it out but that'd be a bold speed for exiting a driveway.
I’d advise against Chipsaway given the damage as only good for a smart repair for relatively light damage. I had a scuff on the front bumper fin on an A7 and it looked and felt crap after a couple of months. Chipsaway charged £250 and body shop wanted £750 (wanted to remove bumper hence high cost) about 4 years ago so quotes you have seem very reasonable indeed.
Go with a proper bodyshop as they work in clean room conditions so will avoid contamination on the finish.
Yeah I’d skip the chips away repair personally. Had one that was ok for some light bumper damage but another where I had a slight dent / scratch on a door and the repair was very average. You could see where it had been done after a few months.
We’ve got a local body shop that I’ve used a couple of times that have done a much better job. They’ll either do a blend on a part of a panel or do the whole panel from scratch depending on budget / damage etc. On a company car going back at end of lease they sorted out a few bits for me for a very reasonable cost and the lease car company couldn’t find any fault with the bodywork to charge me for. Used them again for a repair where lacquer had flaked off a bumper.
£250 seems pretty reasonable - but the £450 doesn’t surprise me either. You might find the cheaper one is doing a blend whereas the more expensive one is doing while panels.
My tame paintshop owner charges roughly 200 quid per panel depending whether there's serious work needed to it before paint etc but he's one of the most well respected guys in the area - does loads of old resto stuff etc who demand a top notch job.
