I got a Hormann one fitted by a local company. £1500, 10 year guarantee, motorised, double skinned insulated, certified to Sold Secure standard. Lots of places will supply and fit that brand.

hormann is the one, maybe worth giving your local window company a call and they'll recommend a fitter,

depending where you are located (i'm west yorks), i was quoted £1150-1200 for an electric, but went for a basic up n over, 5 point locking (as no internal door) and got it painted batttleship grey £650-700, about 12 months ago, (got a good deal as the guy bought that style in bulk for fitting new homes, some styles were alot more expensive.)

Try Rollerdor in Norwich, i just got mine delivered today and i will be fitting it this weekend. I got the cheapest one as its a compact roller and it cost £435. Next level up is much much thicker and can be had for £700 if self fitting.

+1 for Hormann. The insulation and the sealing around the edges means I can work in the garage through the worst of the winter with just a small heater in there.

They have two motors available but I think most suppliers in the UK opt for the heavy duty option anyway (Supramatic???)

Rollerdor was previously recommended on here and other places. It didn't work out well for me as whoever they used for local quote and fitting clearly couldn't be arsed bothering with my phone call.

Eventually used a local company who were OK. Wish I'd not have bothered with the magic eye thing though -  they should just have a decent edge protection system.

Check on ebay. I got a  SWS Secureoglide for £170. They are not hard to fit. It works like a dream and I had collect it from Glentress, so took my bike 😎

We ended up with a Securoglide Excel as the first line of defence after the thieving scroates busted our last one and were in and out in less than 7 seconds with two bikes.

You can buy used garage doors and openers for absolute peanuts on Ebay. Year old doors for fifty quid etc
