So, I've resisted weighing myself over the Christmas period until this morning. In two weeks I've put on 6 pounds.

Damn you: kettle chips, booze, sausage rolls, booze, Quality Street, booze etc etc Seriously back on the iDave as of now.

10lbs. Which I blame entirely on copious amounts of Stilton.

And port.

Not really into weighing myself, but I have managed to either shrink my belt or increase my waist size by a notch 🙁

I blame the wife's fantastic xmas cake. Or rather, me eating too much of it 🙂

Somehow not at all, or at least anything noticeable. weight is much the same and things seem to be fitting the same. Not sure how I've managed it really considering how much drinking has been done over the past few weeks!

Don't have scales but my belt has definitely had to be made a good bit slacker - mostly port and Stilton induced here too.

I thought it was a thread about the noro virus 😉

Must be the booze.. I've eaten really badly for 12 days solid, 3 mile walk with Toby dog daily and abstaining from booze (not through choice) means i have put on 2 lbs. the amount of pastry has been immense this Xmas.

But 6lbs, with 2 gone already yesterday and today (phew). And I thought I had been good this year!!!

About 6lbs (usual culprits - cheese, booze, Christmas cake). Got about 6 weeks to lose it all and some before the first race of the season.

4.7kg. Impressive. More impressive is between weighing in on New Years Day morning, riding 50km off road yesterday and weighing in this morning I managed to shift 2.5Kg. I realise it was a combination of cutting back, having a good dump and being pretty dehydrated this morning but still....

Nothing. Ate and drank sensibly and got some
extra cycling done.

I'm 4kg heavier than a month ago and 8kg more than 4 months ago 🙁
I'm always fat for winter but this year is particularly bad

I've lost a few lb despite many chocolate-based gifts. Clearly a couple of extra rides a week does burn calories.

Not at all. Not really sure how people manage this. Do you just eat and drink none stop, while lying on the sofa?

3 lb gain due to 2 weeks in a hotel before Christmas (beerbeerbeer) followed by a gluttonous week of meat, cheese and chocolate.

I reckon about half a stone.
I think it would have been more, but I decided to grow a beard over Christmas and most of the energy from the excess food will have gone into growing it. right?

Guess who didn't get invited to any parties or meals out over xmas. 🙂

On the contrary. I went to parties on probably the majority of days over the last couple of weeks.
Several involved runs or rides before hand though, and I went out and did other stuff too.

A self-righteous 0kg in fact I've lost a bit due to being able to spend more time on the bike

2lbs.

I' d claim virtue, but this just means I'm closer to 3st overweight now.

After a shit year on the health front, now is the time to get lighter and fitter.

Down from 69.0 to 68.4 kg. Possibly due to more veg and fruit over Christmas (the run up to Christmas was just beer and lardy food for weeks on end - its hell I tell you) and over Christmas I got 14 hours of riding in as well.

I think that I have lost a little, but I haven't been out cycling for a few weeks.

I put it down to the cold I have had killing my appetite.

Doesn't appear that I've put much on.
However,... on the 25th Jan we're off to Goa for 2 weeks which means (apart from a day on the bog)

CURRY & BEER!! (& at 88 Roops to the £, it can't be bad!)

I'll think about a diet when I get back.

I'm up 3 lbs. Not enough mince pies - must try harder next year!

Nope, done nearly 1000Km over the last month. Including a top ten finish in the recent Salisbury Plain Challenge so I'm not hanging about when I go out 😉

What I have done is eat and drink exactly what I want whenever I want for the last 3 weeks. Mince pies for breakfast? Yes please!

I'm not bothered, sensible eating and the millage I'm doing, it'll be gone in a couple of weeks.
